Employee-participation

Employee participation is a collective term for arrangements in which employees participate directly or indirectly in the results or value development of a company.

It goes beyond a salary and a bonus on sales targets, for example; it’s about co-ownership and sharing success.

With any form of employee participation, company valuation is an essential foundation. Without a well-founded valuation of the company, it is impossible to determine the value of the shares, certificates or options offered to employees. Moreover, valuation is crucial for the tax treatment and legal setup of the participation.

The implementation of an employee participation plan is multi-disciplinary. FBM therefore often works together with the SNPI. The SNPI (Stichting Nederlands Participatie Instituut) supports the design of the scheme, they give advice on the correct legal and fiscal design and guide the implementation within the organization.
